Living Social Confusion

Hello All,

I need to write this post to clear up a little confusion that I have recently encountered, and hope to not have this issue for the next few months while people would like to redeem their living social coupons.  I would first like to thank "Laura", the woman who brought all of this to light when she called the bakery, yelled at me, came into the bakery and was aggressive to Nina, and demanded I call her again today, to most likely yell at me for a second time.

Let me explain...

We did the living social deal of 50% off our regular cupcakes, there are terms and conditions in the fine print...

LIMIT ONE PER PURCHASER, ONE AS AN ADDITIONAL GIFT.  LIMIT ONE PER TABLE PER VISIT, PLEASE CALL AHEAD TO PLACE YOUR ORDER, SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. MERCHANT CANCELLATION/RE SCHEDULING POLICY OF 24 HOURS APPLIES; VOUCHER SUBJECT TO FORFEITURE.  NOT VALID ON HOLIDAYS. ENTIRE VALUE MUST BE USED IN A SINGLE VISIT. OTHER CONDITIONS APPLY. PAID VALUE EXPIRES ON FEBRUARY 17, 2017. PROMOTIONAL VALUE EXPIRES ON JUNE 19,2012 .

Now 98% of the purchasers have read the fine print, and have called and been very nice, when I tell them that we are hand making the cupcakes and we would appreciate 24 hours to make your desserts so that we can fulfill them properly.  Laura didn't like that answer and proceeded to verbally attack me, and insisted that she get cupcakes in 5 hours from the call.  It makes me very sad the things that she said to Nina about "vegan leaving a bad taste in her mouth"...when she is attempting to be above the policy.  I have learned from the bullying of Laura and that is why I am writing this today.

We are not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, we are not trying to not sell cupcakes.  We are a very small business, and we are not physically able to bake over 300 dozen cupcakes at once, and hope people show up to redeem their coupons.  We love our customers, and did this living social deal as a fun gift to our customers, and to attempt to spread the vegan word.   We want everyone to be happy, customers, and staff included :)

So please, give the bakery a call, give Becca a little time to bake her magic, and we will all enjoy cupcakes happily!!!

Tiffany and Becca, First and foremost, thank you for opening your business so close to where I live, work and play. As a vegan, I am constantly looking for freshly prepared products made by local people that I trust. You two have a first class operation and your products are superb. Thank you for not allowing that rude customer to bully you.

Wishing you continued success.

We appreciate you & all that you do!!! THANK YOU. I, of course, ordered a dozen for myself but am MOST EXCITED about giving a dozen as a gift.... I love spreading sweet vegan treats all over Cleveland!!!

One question I do have... Does the dozen have to be all the same flavors? Or can we mix & match?

Tiffany and Becca it is so sad that you are having issues with this move to bring awareness to Vegan Sweet Tooth and the wonderful products you create. There is sometimes no explaining some folks demands and expectations. Bullies come in all shapes and sizes, all classes and genders, and all ages. You are doing a great job and I have not been able to come by in MONTHS for the only gluten-free baked goods that I will consume out of my own kitchen. Kudos to you both ladies, keep up the good work and remember not to give in to the bully because there are many others who know how to play by the rules and giving in to the bullies then makes it not fair to those who agree to play fair!! :) Happy Baking!
