Pink Ribbon Wedding Cake

As the month of July is coming to an end, the wedding season is in full swing at Vegan Sweet Tooth.  We have cupcakes going to bridal showers, cookies going to bachelorette parties, and of course cakes going to weddings.  Many months ago, we were contacted by Gina from Shi Shi Events, she was working for Ingrid on her wedding at Hillbrook,  they wanted to meet about the cake.  We met, they tasted cake, and began the journey of the cake.  It was a very unique cake design and we couldn't be more pleased with the final product.

We had an incredible time making this cake, with all the different ribbons.  We were able to stretch our creativity with the design of each ribbon, which made this cake so unique.  So please enjoy the images.

Close up of the detail of all the different ribbons.  Each ribbon has it's own personality :)

We loved loved loved the little bird cake topper!  They were actually salt and pepper shakers!!!!  So creative!

I love coffee, but my socmath isn't too keen, so I was very pleased to discover NoCaff, which I prefer to other coffee substitutes. I make it with hot water and then add Vanilla Rice Milk and sugar. Wicked, but tasty and I can almost pretend I'm drinking a mug of coffee! I haven't tried it in baking, though Sainsburys, eh? I think I'm going to have to toddle along there . (For the offspring, of course!!!)

How can you not love this couple? They have this naratul understated presence without seeming to have any other agendas. You get the feeling that they truly adore each other and kudos to Alisha for knowing how to capture that beautifully in these timeless images. Phew!

I once spent a long time standing there in the aisle reidnag the labels of every boxed mix that TJ's had and pleasantly discovered that the coffee cake as well as a few other mixes are vegan. I purchased every mix that was and have tried most of them the coffee cake is actually next on my list! There are brownies as well as pumpkin, apple and cranberry breads. As my egg replacer I use a mashed banana or flax powder and water or applesauce which makes each of the baked goods even more delicious, moist and nutritious!

Agreed! Just because you are vegan does not mean you will never eat junk' food. Some ppl might be vegan for heltah reasons, but a lot of ppl are vegan because ofanimal cruelty. Plus, it is not easy to be vegan and fast food free, when you are nota home body, travel a lot or work long hours and are exhausted to cook or hunt allover town some nights for vegan food! 0Was this answer helpful?

A vegan would eat at Domino's because, if you are stuck in the Houston Airport Marriott, like I am right now, with a ccnlelaed flight and no other options but some place that delivers, your choices are Papa John's or Domino's. 0Was this answer helpful?
